On Wednesday night, the Dallas Mavericks got their way with David Letterman's Top Ten list. And it was as funny as you'd expect. At least for someone like me, who adores Dave but doesn't get CBS on his dish package.
It's never been much of a showbiz secret that Dave Letterman never really enjoyed his Top Ten Lists. Sure, the gimmick made him money, but there's a reason he often reads the top reason on the list with all the panache of a dead-tired husband forced to relay the contents of a grocery run early on a Thursday morning. Not that I would relate.
The best way out of that? Let the Mavs have a go:
Your 2011 NBA champions, ladies gentlemen. Turn on the thing.
