You take Daytona and throw it out the window, because nobody knows quite what the heck is going to happen at that track. So now that we're actually into the season, we lead off with a wreck that involves some of NASCAR's biggest names, Kyle Busch and Carl Edwards. Check it:
Aw, yeah! Kyle knocked Edwards out of the race, and took over the points lead! This one's headed for a brawl, right? Edwards expressed his hope that Kyle hadn't done that intentionally, but we can always pine for a good 99-18 brawl, right? And then Kyle got out of his car right after the race, and this is the shot he fired:
Yeah! That's the kind of attitude we ... wait, hang on. Did Kyle Busch just offer up an honest apology? What planet is this?
Much as we'd like to see a total throwdown between our two top-ranked Sprint Cup drivers, they're both taking the long view here, which is probably a very wise move. Even if it doesn't make for the greatest Monday recaps.
