InterTubing: At long last, more homers and dunks

We know what you've been thinking: "Wither InterTubing"? Well, not quite. Everyone's favorite weekly prep sports viral video feature was just taking a brief early summer sabbatical, taking the time to gear up for a final push toward the end of the scholastic sports season. With that in mind, it's back this week, bringing a few more of the finest clips from the games that are still happening across the country.

? Kyle Carter, Columbus (Ga.) vs. Spalding (Ga.): Usually, teams that reach the state championship round of the baseball playoffs boast exceptional pitching and just enough offense to keep pushing through the playoffs. That was hardly the case in Georgia, where Columbus and Spalding combined for 33 runs in the first two games of the teams' best-of-three Class AAA series. Eventually, Columbus prevailed 19-9 in Game 3, flexing much of the offensive might shown in this clip by slugger Kyle Carter, whose two-run homer here paced Columbus' 12-2 victory in game 2.

? John Brodner, St. Charles North (Ill.) vs. Larkin (Ill.) and Geneva (Ill.): We've actually got two clips from Brodner, who may be one of the best power hitting shortstops in the land. The first comes from a St. Charles North game against Larkin, where Brodner hit a ball so hard it practically broke through the scoreboard (just listen for the priceless "Put a flight attendant on it!" yell from a coach). The second, which is just as amazing, comes from Brodner's crew's game at Geneva, where Brodner's homer went so far, it cleared the parking lot behind the field and drilled a nearby house. Really.

? Lauren Burchak, Woodinville (Wash.) vs. Tahoma (Wash.): Burchak put a closing "exclamation mark", as the Tacoma News Tribune put it, on undefeated Woodinville's playoff victory with this bomb of a grand slam, which made her team's victorious final score, 6-0.

? Mitch McGary, Wolfeboro (N.H.) Brewster Academy: It's hard to overstate just how enjoyable it can be to see a big man run the floor on the dribble after a tough rebound and then throw down an athletic slam (hey, even if you hate UNC, Tyler Hansbrough was pretty fun, right?). Take this pair of slams from top prospect Mitch McGary as a case in point. Just try to tell us you didn't crack a smile while watching him throw those down.

? Jabari Parker, Chicago (Ill.) Simeon: Parker's recruiting stock has only improved thanks to his recent explosive play with the Mac Irvin Fire AAU squad. Need proof? Just check out this slam.

? Parker Roland, Camas (Wash.) vs. Bainbridge (Wash.): Camas was on its way to a state title, but it needed a deft finishing touch. Enter Roland, who provided one of the best one-touch shots in the state during the 2011 season. Sometimes it is good to save the best for last, after all.

? Sean Escobar, Upland (Calif.) High: So, we couldn't figure out exactly which school Upland was facing off against when Sean Escobar came through with his hat trick, but we are sure that the trio of goals were well deserved. Showing off a deft touch and a nice strike to boot (yes, bad pun intended).
