Sony has announced the immediate availability of Music Unlimited powered by Qriocity, its subscription streaming music service, in France, Germany, Italy, and Spain. The service has been available in the UK since December, and it offers two subscription plans. The Basic subscription costs £3.99 per month in the UK and €3.99 in the four other countries, and gives you a virtual radio station, complete with personalized channels categorized by genre, era or mood. The Premium subscription adds on-demand access to the entire catalog of millions of songs for £9.99 or €9.99, respectively. It also lets you create personal playlists and allows you to listen to Premium Top 100 channels, which are regularly updated with the latest hits.
Both subscriptions work from a great variety of Sony hardware, such as Blu-ray players, TVs, the PlayStation 3, as well as Vaio laptops and other computers. Support for portable devices and smartphones is reportedly on the way.
